Hello my name is Onashly Hayes and reside in Los Angeles, California. I am a graduate student at California State University of Los Angeles in the process of obtaining a masters degree in  Educational Technology Leadership while obtaining a double credential in math and art.  In June 2019, I completed student teaching with success . And currently I am looking forward to new challenges. My hobbies are learning Armenian, collecting comic books, and learning about archery. Along with going to school, I also volunteer as a mentor and work part-time as bookkeeper/cashier.

One of the things i enjoy doing is analyzing. Analyzing is an essential skill to have in many domains of life. For example, getting to a meaning of something through deductive reasoning by drawing conclusions through the use of observations/evidences/patterns  - like past and present behaviors - is pleasant. Another thing I love are epiphanies - sudden realizations - when I able to connect dots that has a profound change on how I see the world.  In contrast one thing I have a distaste for are individuals who do not expand their horizons - people who believe they know everything or believe its OK to be set in rudimentary/self inflicting ways. I believe people should be constantly changing for the better, but most importantly, they first need to be able to self refelect to change. I am not 100% perfect, but I always see room for improvement.

Twchnology may sometimes get a bad rap from teachers, but i believea balcne of liberalness (creativty and trying newthings) is what should be expected of teachers - even in business. There is a strange level of irony eveytime something new comes out, the previous genrations prostest to "newness." When tevlevsion first came out parents thought it migh ruin their kids. Howvenre one could argue that tevelevion should be viewed in moderation. And i do believe that is true but that practically goes for anything - too much of something could possibly be bad. But with technology in the classrooms, the individual ulizing such a tool needs know how to effectivly use it in the first place.  An analogiius allegory qoute:"with great power comes great responbilty." Responsibility becomes greater with more power- even "newness".  Teachers need to take responsiblty and command of technology and not be afraid. One way to get their is to simply "play around" with technology and not be afraid of mistakes.
